Linde is a story-teller who lives on an island overlooking the misty sea. She is fascinated by mythology and its historical, cultural and psychological underpinnings. The influence of mythological structures speaks to us today in the forms of entertainment we seek. By understanding it, we can better understand ourselves. Her interest in the Snake Goddess was spawned through the work of psychologist Jean Shinoda Bolen, specifically her book Goddesses in Everywoman: A New Psychology of Women. Bolen talks about the importance of reclaiming the power of the snake, which served as a symbol of the Goddess in early times. Linde's book on the Serpent Goddess, Goddess in the Grass: Serpentine Mythology and the Great Goddess, will be published by EcceNova Editions on Samhain, 2003. If you would like
to discuss the Snake Goddess, Linde can be reached at linde@shaw.ca.
