Nane Jordan has a working background as an apprentice midwife and home birth attendant. Through graduate study in Women’s Spirituality, she has expanded her practical work to include research into women’s birth experiences, female-centered spirituality and education.

Her desire is to develop women- and earth-centered philosophies of birth that transform how we understand our embodied and spirited relationship to each other and the earth. Her research is deeply informed by a lifelong love of birth, its free and unencumbered forms aided by the midwife’s hand and heart, and the herstory of women’s ancestral traditions and healing practices.
