Shay Harris, LCSW, is a Psychotherapist and Ordained Minister. She earned her B.S. in Education and a Masters in Clinical Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the 80s. She spent 6 years in the Doctor of Ministry Program at the University of Creation Spirituality in Oakland, CA, and earned a Certificate in Wisdom Studies from Wisdom University in 2007. Shays psychotherapy practice of 25 years incorporates traditional, psychospiritual, Jungian/depth psychological and holistic/wellness approaches. Shay is a solitary Wiccan Crone and Goddess devotee whose spiritual path has been deeply influenced by Hindu, African and Yoruban teachers such as Dr. Ashok Bedi, Russell Paul and Louisa Tiesch. Labor organizer, activist, community organizer, community educator, psychotherapist and organizational consultant, her diverse 40 year career has been devoted to serving equal rights and social justice. Shay and her life partner, two cats, one goldfish and a dog share a lovely old home in Wisconsin. Her life has been graced by five daughters and one son. Inspiration and awe are the simple pleasures found in the company of her cats and her horse, gardening, and being near water, sky and trees. The art of grandparenting is her new passion. |
